Converts a 1/2 inch drive to a 3/4 inch drive with a 1-1/2 inch overall length
This Westward drive adapter converts a 1/2 inch female square drive to a 3/4 inch male square drive. It suits mechanics and technicians who need to use larger sockets with a smaller ratchet or breaker bar. The 1 1/2 inch overall length keeps the assembly compact for tight work areas. The tool is sold new and carries a California Proposition 65 warning for chemicals known to cause cancer and reproductive harm.
Under continuous torque the adapter transmits force through the square drive interface without a locking mechanism. The 1/2 inch input limits the maximum practical torque to the rating of the smaller drive and the attached ratchet. It is not intended for impact drivers or high-torque industrial applications where a dedicated 3/4 inch drive tool would be required.
As a passive hand tool the adapter generates no heat, draws no power and produces no operational noise. The transparent finish does not affect performance or temperature. No insulation or non-sparking rating is provided, so the tool is unsuitable for live electrical work or explosive atmospheres.

The adapter is only 1-1/2 in long, so it adds minimal leverage and generates no heat because it has no moving parts or power draw.
You need a 1/2 in square-drive ratchet or breaker bar on the input side and a 3/4 in square-drive socket on the output side.
No, this adapter converts a 1/2 in drive tool to accept 3/4 in sockets; it does not allow 1/2 in sockets to be used on the output.
