Spiral-flute screw extractor for 9/16 to 3/4 in bolts, drilled with a 17/64 in bit and driven by a .335 in square drive
This Westward screw extractor uses a spiral-flute design to grip and remove damaged right-hand-thread fasteners. It is made from high-speed steel for hardness and wear resistance during extraction tasks. The tool suits mechanics and maintenance crews who need to clear broken bolts without damaging surrounding threads.
The extractor requires a 17/64 in pilot hole drilled into the broken bolt before use. It fits bolts from 9/16 in up to 3/4 in diameter, so the fastener must fall within that range. The square drive measures .335 in and engages a matching driver or wrench for turning force.
This extractor works only on right-hand-thread bolts; left-hand threads need a different tool. Verify that your driver or wrench accepts a .335 in square drive. Confirm the broken bolt diameter sits between 9/16 in and 3/4 in and that you can drill a 17/64 in pilot hole.

The #5 extractor is designed for bolt sizes 9/16 in to 3/4 in and requires a 17/64 in drill hole.
You must drill a 17/64 in hole in the broken fastener before inserting the extractor so the spiral flutes can grip properly.
The .335 in square drive fits a matching tap wrench or ratchet; you cannot use a round-shank driver or a larger square drive with this extractor.
