Cooler Top Skin Kit for SHIVR-55

This foam-traction skin kit is designed specifically for the Wet Sounds SHIVR-55 cooler. It adds a Black Over Whiskey finish that refreshes the cooler's appearance. The GatorStep material provides a grippier surface for safer footing on wet decks. Installation upgrades the existing cooler without replacing the unit.

Boat Owners Wanting Deck Traction and Style

The kit suits owners of a SHIVR-55 cooler who want a non-slip top surface and a custom colour scheme. It is not for buyers who need a cooler, as the insulation body is not included. Builders fitting a different cooler model cannot use this skin due to its dedicated fit. Users seeking a plain replacement lid without added texture should look elsewhere.

Dedicated Fit for SHIVR-55 Coolers Only

The skin kit is cut exclusively for the SHIVR-55 model, so compatibility is limited to that single cooler. The 55 designation matches the cooler capacity for precise alignment. Attempting to install it on any other cooler will result in poor fitment and reduced traction. Verify your cooler model before purchasing this accessory.

Questions about this item

Will the adhesive on the GatorStep skin need replacing after long sun exposure?

The skin is built for marine environments and uses marine-grade adhesive designed to withstand prolonged UV and saltwater contact.

Does the foam traction material compress permanently under heavy gear left on the cooler lid all day?

Closed-cell EVA foam resists permanent compression and rebounds after weight is removed, keeping its non-slip texture intact.

Does the black-over-whiskey surface get too hot to touch when the cooler sits in direct sunlight for hours?

Light-coloured whiskey accents reflect more solar energy than an all-black deck, so the top stays noticeably cooler under the same sun.
