Extra-large silicone swim cap

The Whale swim cap weighs 70 g and is sized larger than standard caps to accommodate long, thick, curly hair, dreadlocks, braids, weaves and afro styles. Its unisex design fits both women and men for pool or open-water sessions.

Silicone stretch limits

The cap stretches to twice its original size yet returns to shape after removal. Inner non-slip stripes help keep it secure during vigorous swimming, but the material has a finite elastic limit and will not expand indefinitely.

Ear-coverage design

The cap extends over the ears to reduce water entry while swimming or bathing. Swimmers who prefer zero ear contact or need a tighter seal for competitive racing may find the fit too generous.

Questions about this item

Is the 70 g weight the only version available?

Yes, this cap is offered as a single one-size model weighing 70 g.

How does the 70 g weight feel during a swim session?

The extra mass gives a thicker, more durable silicone that resists tearing and stays in place without feeling heavy on the head.

What head sizes does the one-size extra-large design actually fit?

It stretches to roughly twice its resting circumference, covering long thick hair, dreadlocks, braids, weaves and afro styles while still gripping securely.
