Office Chair Caster Wheels

This set of five replacement caster wheels is designed for office chairs that use a stem mount fitting. The polyurethane coating protects hardwood, tile, carpet, and other floor surfaces from scratches and marks. Precision ball bearings provide smooth, quiet rolling across mixed flooring types. The heavy-duty steel construction supports up to 650 lbs per set.

Stem Mount 7/16 Inch x 7/8 Inch

The critical specification is the stem size of 7/16 inch (11 mm) diameter by 7/8 inch (22 mm) length. This fits most standard office chairs sold in the USA with 11 mm stems. It is not compatible with IKEA chairs or any model using a different stem diameter or length. Verify your existing caster stem measurements before ordering to ensure proper fit.

Tool Free Installation

Installation requires no tools; simply pull out the old casters and push the new stems firmly into the chair base until seated. The enclosed bearing design prevents hair and debris from clogging the wheels, which is a common issue with open bearings. Ensure each stem is fully inserted to avoid wobble or detachment during use.

Questions about this item

What does the 650 lbs capacity mean for daily use?

The set of five wheels is rated to support up to 650 lbs, so a typical office chair with an adult user stays well within the limit.

How does the 7/16" x 7/8" stem size affect compatibility?

The 11 mm by 22 mm stem fits most USA-sold office chairs with that exact socket; it will not fit IKEA chairs or other non-standard stems.

What clearance do the 2-inch diameter wheels need under the chair base?

Each wheel measures 2 inches across, so the chair base must provide at least that much open space for the casters to swivel freely.
