Enclosure ratings and applications

This Wiegmann enclosure meets NEMA 3R, 4, 12 and 13 standards with an IP66 rating. It is built for indoor or outdoor wall mounting where protection against dust, water spray and oil is required. The carbon steel body with ANSI 61 polyester powder finish resists corrosion in harsh environments.

Sustained environmental protection

The seamless polyurethane poured-in-place gasket maintains a continuous seal during long-term exposure to weather and wash-down conditions. The 14 gauge steel construction and 1/4 turn semi-flush latches keep the solid cover secured under vibration or thermal cycling. Usable opening depth of 5.88 in accommodates components that must stay dry and clean over extended periods.

Mounting and daily access

Pre-drilled mounting holes allow direct wall installation without extra brackets. The hinged cover swings open for routine inspection or wiring changes while the 1/4 turn latches operate by hand without tools. An interior panel 2NJ26 is available separately for DIN rail or component mounting inside the 12.0 in by 12.0 in by 6.0 in cavity.
