Practical limits of NEMA 3R, 4, 12 and IP66

These ratings confirm suitability for indoor and outdoor environments where falling dirt, rain, sleet or hose-directed water are present. The enclosure is not rated for submersion or for hazardous-location atmospheres beyond the listed standards.

Build quality and daily implications

A seamless polyurethane poured-in-place gasket maintains the seal over repeated openings. The hinged solid cover secures with a three-point latch handle operated by a keyed lock, restricting access to authorised personnel. Pre-drilled mounting holes allow direct wall attachment, while the interior accepts panel models 2NJ36 or 2NJ37 for equipment mounting.
