Wiegmann N412241610C Electrical Enclosure

This carbon-steel enclosure measures 24 in high, 16 in wide and 10 in deep with a 14 ga wall thickness. It carries NEMA 12, 13, 3R and 4 ratings plus IP66 protection for indoor and outdoor use. A seamless foam-in-place gasket and 1/4-turn semi-flush latches seal the solid hinged cover. The gray painted finish resists corrosion in harsh environments.

Suited for wall-mounted control panels

Installers who need a durable, gasketed steel box with quick-access latches will find the hinged cover and poured-in-place gasket convenient. The unit includes mounting holes and an interior panel 2NJ36 for component layout. Buyers who require a transparent cover, a different latch style or a non-metallic enclosure should look elsewhere.

Integrates into wall-mounted electrical builds

The enclosure mounts directly to walls using the provided holes and accepts the 2NJ36 interior panel for DIN-rail or back-panel components. Its 10 in depth accommodates deeper relays, terminal blocks or small drives while the 1/4-turn latches allow tool-free access for maintenance. The NEMA 4 and IP66 ratings mean the box can replace less-sealed cabinets in wash-down areas.

Questions about this item

What wall-mounting hardware must I already have to install this 24 in H by 16 in W carbon-steel enclosure?

The enclosure includes mounting holes; you supply the lag bolts, anchors or screws rated for the wall material and the weight of a 14 ga steel box.

Can I reuse my existing 2NJ36 interior panel with this Ultimate-series enclosure?

Yes, the 2NJ36 panel is listed as the designated interior panel for this model, so it fits the 24 in H by 16 in W interior without modification.

How do I verify the IP66 and NEMA 4 seals are intact after I close the 1/4-turn latches?

Inspect the seamless foam-in-place gasket for continuous contact, confirm each latch turns to a semi-flush position, and run a standard hose-directed water test per NEMA 4 practice.
