Push-Button Enclosure for Industrial Controls

This Wiegmann PB4 enclosure houses up to four 30 mm push buttons in a single column. The carbon-steel body measures 10.25 in high, 3.25 in wide and 2.81 in deep with a gray finish. It carries NEMA 4, 12 and 13 ratings and is cULus listed for oil-tight protection.

NEMA 4, 12 and 13 Rating Decides Suitability

These ratings confirm the enclosure resists splashing water, circulating dust and oil or coolant seepage. If the installation only requires basic indoor dust protection, a lower-rated box would suffice; this unit is built for harsher industrial environments.

Captive Cover Screws and Gasket Simplify Sealing

Stainless captive screws stay with the cover so they cannot be lost during maintenance. The closed-cell oil-resistant gasket creates a reliable seal without separate adhesive or replacement parts, keeping the NEMA rating intact after repeated opening.

Questions about this item

What does the 30 mm hole size mean for the push buttons I can install?

The enclosure has four 30 mm holes in a single column, so it accepts standard 30 mm oil-tight push buttons, selector switches or pilot lights.

How do the NEMA 12, 13 and 4 ratings limit where this enclosure can be used?

The ratings certify protection against circulating dust, falling dirt, dripping non-corrosive liquids and oil seepage, making it suitable for indoor industrial environments with those contaminants.

What do the external mounting plates require for installation?

The enclosure mounts via external plates on the back, so you need a flat surface and suitable fasteners to secure it in place.
