Insulated 1/8 inch hex key

The WIHA 13663 is a single insulated hex key designed for work on live electrical components up to 1000 volts. It is built for electricians and maintenance technicians who require verified protection when accessing fastener heads inside energised panels or equipment.

Suited for high-voltage access

This tool suits professionals who must meet ASTM F1505, EN/IEC 60900 and NFPA-70E requirements for insulated hand tools. It is not for buyers who need a comprehensive set of metric and inch sizes, nor for general mechanical tasks where voltage-rated insulation adds unnecessary bulk and cost.

1000 volt rated insulation

The decisive specification is the 1000 volt rating backed by 10000 volt testing and double red-over-yellow insulation. If your safety procedure demands certified live-line tooling, this key meets the standard; if the work is de-energised, a standard hex key will be lighter and less expensive.

Questions about this item

Will the 1/8 inch tip fit the same fasteners as my existing SAE hex keys?

Yes, the 1/8 inch tip matches standard SAE hex fasteners you already use.

How can I verify the insulation is still intact after use?

Check the double-layer coating; yellow showing through red means the 1000 V rating is compromised.

Does the package include only the single 1/8 inch key or a set?

The box contains one 1/8 inch insulated hex key; no other sizes are included.
