ESD Safe Short Snipe Nose Pliers 120mm

The Wiha 32742 pliers are ESD safe precision tools designed for electronics assembly and repair. They meet IEC 61340-5-1 standard for electrostatic discharge protection. The short snipe nose profile suits fine component handling in confined areas. Drop-forged construction ensures a consistent material structure for durability.

Two Component Non-Slip Soft Grip Handle

A two component non-slip soft grip handle provides secure control during delicate operations. The 9.5mm wide head allows access to tight spaces on dense circuit boards. Serrated jaws grip wires and small parts firmly without slipping. The straight jaw alignment supports precise positioning under magnification.

Hardened Jaws for Sustained Precision Use

Precisely aligned jaws are hardened to maintain grip geometry over repeated cycles. Drop-forged steel resists deformation when applying constant pressure during extended sessions. ESD safe dissipative handles retain their protective properties throughout the tool's service life. The 120mm overall length balances leverage and fingertip control for long periods.

Questions about this item

How long are the 32742 pliers before the jaw length limits reach in tight spots?

Overall length is 120 mm (4.75 in), so the jaws reach about that far into confined areas.

Do the ESD-safe handles stay cool and comfortable during all-day bench work?

Two-component soft grips are non-slip and dissipative, reducing hand fatigue and static buildup over long sessions.

Which ESD standard must my workstation already meet for these pliers to be compliant?

They conform to IEC 61340-5-1, so your EPA should follow the same standard.
