WIHA 32987 8-Piece Insulated Plier Set

This WIHA 32987 set provides eight insulated pliers built for electrical work. The bi-material handles protect against electric shock while maintaining a secure grip. A supplied pouch keeps the tools organised and portable on site. It suits electricians and technicians who need a complete insulated kit.

Sustained performance under load

The steel construction resists deformation when cutting wire mesh or sheet metal repeatedly. Insulated handles retain their protective rating during extended use without cracking or slipping. Bright colours stay visible in low light so the right tool is found quickly. The pouch shields the pliers from dirt and impact between jobs.

Compatibility checks before ordering

Verify that the handle profile fits your tool belt or storage system. Confirm the jaw capacity matches the cable and conduit sizes you encounter daily. Ensure the insulation rating meets the voltage levels required by your local regulations. Check that the pouch closure method works with your carrying routine.

Questions about this item

Do the insulated handles stay cool and comfortable during all-day electrical work?

The bi-material grips are shaped to reduce hand fatigue and the insulation is rated for live-line protection, so they remain comfortable through extended use.

What else must I already own for the 32987 set to be ready for live electrical tasks?

You need appropriate personal protective equipment and a verified de-energised or live-line work procedure; the pliers themselves supply the insulated gripping and cutting function.

Will these pliers damage older wiring insulation or soft copper when I use them alongside legacy installations?

The precision-machined jaws grip cleanly without tearing aged insulation, and the cutting edges shear soft copper neatly without crushing the conductor.
