Portable FM Receiver for Assisted Listening
The Williams Sound PPA R37N is a body-worn FM receiver designed for venues that use 72-76 MHz transmitters such as the PPA T46, T45, T45NET or T27. It serves listeners who need a personal audio feed in theatres, houses of worship or classrooms. Buyers needing Bluetooth streaming, internet radio or onboard music storage should choose a different device category.
Low-Power Operation with Battery Alerts
The unit runs on two AA cells and includes a sleep mode that conserves energy when the receiver is idle. A low-battery indicator warns the user before audio drops out, and the lightweight 4.6 oz build with batteries keeps the clip comfortable for extended wear. No external power supply or charging circuit is required.
Belt-Clip Design with Universal Audio Jack
A supplied CLP 015 belt clip secures the 4.1 x 2.85 x 1.38 inch chassis to clothing, leaving hands free. The 3.5 mm stereo/mono jack accepts standard earphones, headphones or a neckloop for telecoil-equipped hearing aids. Channel-lock prevents accidental frequency changes once one of the 17 wideband channels is selected via the seek button.

Questions about this item
How do I pair this R37N receiver with a PPA T46 transmitter and which step is often missed?
Power on both units, press the seek button until the receiver locks to one of the 17 wideband channels between 72 and 76 MHz, then activate the channel-lock feature so the setting cannot be changed by accident.
What ongoing maintenance does the R37N need and when should I replace the batteries?
Replace the two AA cells when the low-battery indicator lights; the receiver weighs 4.6 oz with fresh batteries and 2.6 oz without them.
What is the first limitation I will hit during a full-day event with the R37N?
Battery runtime is the limiting factor; the sleep mode extends operating time, but the unit must be re-powered once the cells are depleted.
