Everyday carry for young children

The willikiva 1216 is a lightweight daypack made from waterproof polyester and weighing .73 lb. It is sized for children aged three to twelve and features embroidered animal patterns on a yellow car theme. A chest strap helps keep the shoulder straps from slipping during active play.

Wet weather and daily wear

The polyester shell sheds rain so that books and other contents stay dry when water falls on the surface. The soft shell construction keeps the pack light at .73 lb even when the main compartment holds an iPad, a change of clothes, snacks and an A4 size book. A side pocket fits a bottle for longer outings.

Replaces smaller toddler bags

This backpack suits families whose child has outgrown a basic nursery bag but still needs a compact, easy to carry option. It is not for buyers who want more storage volume than the 12.6"H x 10.2"W x 4.7"D frame provides or who need a pack designed for adult torso lengths.

Questions about this item

How does the 0.73 lb weight affect comfort during a full day of wear?

At 0.73 lb the empty pack adds almost no load, so the child feels only the contents, not the bag itself.

What must the child already have for the chest strap to function properly?

The chest strap attaches to the existing shoulder straps, so no extra accessory is required beyond the backpack itself.

Will an A4 folder fit alongside the 12.6" height without bending?

Yes, the main compartment is designed to hold an A4 size book flat without folding.
