Wilson 305-480 FGT Fiberglass Whip

The Wilson 305-480 is a two-foot fiberglass whip antenna finished in black with a silver load. It belongs to the FGT series built for mobile communication installations. The compact length suits vehicles where a low-profile antenna is preferred.

Silver Load FGT Series Construction

The silver load and FGT series design provide the antenna's electrical matching for the intended frequency range. The fiberglass whip resists corrosion and impact in automotive environments. Buyers needing a longer whip or a different mounting style will need a separate model.

Questions about this item

How often will the fiberglass whip need to be inspected or replaced due to weather exposure?

The fiberglass whip is built for outdoor use; inspect it annually for cracks or UV damage and replace only if the surface shows visible deterioration.

What is the first performance limit reached during continuous transmission at high power?

Sustained high-power transmission will hit the antenna's power-handling capacity first, causing heating at the silver load before any other component fails.
