Heavy-Duty C-Clamp for Construction

This Wilton Brute Force C-Clamp is built for heavy construction and fabrication tasks. Its drop-forged frame and black oxide coating deliver high clamping force up to 40000 lbs for demanding applications.

Suitable for Fabrication, Not Light Assembly

It suits fabricators and builders who need maximum holding power on large workpieces. It is not for light assembly, hobbyist projects, or situations where a smaller, lighter clamp would suffice.

12500 lb Rated Clamping Capacity

The clamp provides a specific clamping force of 12500 lb, which determines if it meets your project load requirements. Verify this rating against your structural calculations before use.

Questions about this item

How often should the spindle threads and swivel pad be lubricated on this 12500 lb clamp?

Apply a light machine oil to the cold-drawn steel spindle and swivel pad whenever the threads feel dry or after heavy use; the black-oxide coating resists corrosion but does not eliminate the need for periodic lubrication.

What is the maximum clamping force this model can sustain before the frame yields?

The drop-forged frame is rated for up to 40000 lbs of clamping force, so the 12500 lb working load stays well within the structural limit during sustained tightening.

Does the gray finish or black-oxide coating generate noticeable heat during all-day clamping jobs?

No heat is produced by the finish or coating; the clamp is a passive mechanical tool with no moving parts that create friction beyond the spindle threads, which remain at ambient temperature.
