Magnetic Jaw Cap Pair

This Wilton R-6.5 set supplies two magnetic jaw caps made from aluminium. Each cap measures 6.5 inches wide and long to match a 6.5 inch vise jaw. The magnets hold the caps securely in place during clamping operations.

Workpiece Protection Focus

The caps protect both the vise jaws and the workpiece from marring and distortion during any clamping application. They suit any vise type with the correct jaw width. Users needing non-magnetic protection or a different jaw width should look at other options.

6.5 Inch Jaw Width Match

The single specification that decides fit is the 6.5 inch jaw width compatibility. Verify your vise jaws measure exactly 6.5 inches before ordering. A mismatch will prevent the caps from seating properly and protecting the workpiece.

Questions about this item

Will the 6.5 inch width fit my vise jaws exactly?

Yes, the cap width is 6.5 in and is made for vise jaws of the same 6.5 in width.

Do the aluminum caps get hot or slip after hours of clamping?

The aluminum body with rubber facing resists heat buildup and the magnetic hold keeps each cap fixed during long clamping sessions.

Does my vise need a specific jaw design for these magnetic caps to hold?

They attach magnetically to any standard ferrous vise jaw measuring 6.5 in wide, so no special jaw profile is required.
