WindTech 900 Series 41 mm Windscreen

The WindTech 900 Series windscreen is a 41 mm navy blue foam cover designed for microphones with a matching inside diameter. It uses proprietary SonicFoam, a hypo-allergenic open-cell material that preserves the microphone's natural frequency response while recording or broadcasting.

Ideal for vocalists and broadcasters.

This accessory suits voice-over artists, podcasters, and field recordists who need to suppress wind noise, breath sounds, and plosives. It also shields the capsule from dust and moisture. Users with microphones exceeding the 41 mm internal diameter will need a different size.

41 mm inside diameter fits compatible microphones

The critical specification is the 1.625 inch inside diameter, identified as model #914. Verify your microphone's physical dimensions against this measurement to ensure a secure fit and proper acoustic performance.

Questions about this item

How does the 41 mm SonicFoam hold up when the microphone runs hot for hours?

The open-cell SonicFoam is acoustically transparent and does not trap heat, so it does not degrade or change the microphone's frequency response during extended sessions.

Does the windscreen itself add any audible noise or heat when left on all day?

No, the hypo-allergenic foam adds no self-noise and does not generate heat; it only reduces wind velocity and pop sounds while remaining acoustically neutral.

Will the 1.625 inch inside diameter fit the microphone I already own?

The windscreen fits any microphone with a 1.625 inch (41 mm) diameter; measure your mic to confirm it matches this size before purchasing.
