The WaterBug 200 monitors for the presence or absence of water in computer rooms, document storage, warehouses, sump pumps and basements. Sensors activate the alarm when a conductive bridge forms between two contacts. The device includes one standard unsupervised surface sensor and accepts up to six total sensors for expanded coverage.

Sensor Wiring Limits

One to two sensors can be located up to 200 feet (60.96 m) from the device, while three to six sensors can reach up to 100 feet (30.48 m). Use 18 to 22 AWG twisted pair wire for sensor extensions. Power supplied to the unit must not have a connection to earth ground, as this could cause a failure to detect water or a ground fault.
