A 300-piece assortment of UL-listed, heat-shrink solder-seal butt splices covering 22-18, 16-14 and 26-24 AWG for waterproof automotive and marine wiring
This 300-piece assortment supplies heat-shrink butt splices in three colour-coded AWG ranges for automotive, marine and general wiring tasks. The pack contains 200 red connectors for 22-18 AWG, 50 blue connectors for 16-14 AWG and 50 white connectors for 26-24 AWG. Each terminal integrates a solder ring inside a transparent polyolefin tube so the joint can be inspected before and after heating. UL Listed certification confirms compliance with recognised safety standards.
The connectors operate passively with no active cooling, fan noise or electrical draw of their own. Heat is applied only during installation using a hot air gun, causing the tube to shrink at a 2:1 ratio and the solder to flow. Once cooled, the joint adds negligible resistance to the circuit and dissipates no measurable heat under normal current loads. The waterproof seal remains stable across the temperature ranges typical of vehicle and boat electrical systems.
The solder-seal design eliminates the need for a separate crimping tool; stripped wires are inserted into the sleeve and heated in a single step. Transparent tubing lets the installer verify wire placement and solder flow visually, reducing rework. The inner hot-melt adhesive ring bonds to the insulation, creating a strain-relieved, waterproof connection suited to vibration-prone environments. The colour coding by AWG range speeds identification on mixed-loom jobs.

Strip the wires, insert both into the transparent solder sleeve, then apply heat with a hot air gun until the tube shrinks at a 2:1 ratio; the step often missed is verifying the solder has fully melted and wetted both conductors before the tube cools.
The connectors are single-use heat-shrink terminals; once shrunk and soldered they are sealed and require no maintenance, but any damaged joint must be cut out and replaced with a new connector.
The 26-24 AWG gauge rating limits continuous current before the insulation or solder joint reaches its thermal limit.
