Portable Boombox with Cassette and Radio

The WISCENT WTB-799 is a portable boombox that blends vintage styling with modern connectivity. It plays and records cassettes, receives AM, FM, SW1 and SW2 radio, and streams audio via Bluetooth. A USB port and MicroSD slot support playback and recording up to 32 GB. Dual full-range speakers deliver 24 W of power with separate bass and treble controls.

Buyers Who Want Analogue Recording and Retro Looks

This unit suits listeners who want to digitise tapes to USB or MicroSD, record radio or Bluetooth streams onto cassettes, and enjoy physical media with tone controls. It is not for users who need stereo radio output, aptX or LDAC Bluetooth codecs, cassette auto-reverse, or a rechargeable battery built into the chassis.

24 W Dual Speakers with Bass and Treble Controls

The amplifier produces 24 watts through two full-range drivers and includes independent bass and treble knobs for tone shaping. This output level and analogue EQ are the key specification that determines whether the boombox meets your volume and sound-preference requirements.

Questions about this item

Which WISCENT model should I choose — WTB-732, WTB-733, WTB-795 or WTB-799?

The WTB-799 measures 12.8 x 3.94 x 3.15 inches and weighs 3.96 lb, making it narrower than the WTB-732 at 12.9 x 7.1 x 4.1 inches, the WTB-733 at 12.8 x 4.4 x 4.1 inches and the WTB-795 at 11.4 x 4.53 x 3.35 inches. All four run from an included AC cable plus optional 9 V adapter or batteries.

What does the 24 W rating mean for everyday listening?

Dual full-range speakers driven by 24 W deliver stereo sound from tapes, USB, MicroSD or Bluetooth, while radio plays in mono. Separate bass and treble controls let you shape the tone, and bass-reflex ports add low-end weight for a room-filling presence.

How much music can the USB and MicroSD slots actually hold?

Both slots support storage up to 32 GB, so a single USB stick or MicroSD card can carry thousands of MP3 files for playback or for recording radio, Bluetooth streams or cassette audio directly to digital files.
