Wix Filters 57712XP XP Lube Filter

The Wix Filters 57712XP XP Lube Filter is a new HVAC control component manufactured by Wix Filters. It features a transparent housing that allows visual inspection of the internal element. This part is designed for automotive HVAC system maintenance and filtration requirements.

Technicians needing visual contamination checks

The transparent construction suits technicians who want to monitor filter condition without disassembly. It is not intended for buyers who need a standard opaque canister or those requiring a filter with a different thread specification or bypass valve rating not detailed here.

Transparent housing for inspection

The see-through body is the defining specification that distinguishes this XP Lube Filter from conventional metal-can designs. Confirm that the transparent material is compatible with the specific refrigerant and oil type used in the target system before installation.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Wix Filters 57712XP XP Lube Filter and what step is often missed?

Thread the filter onto the engine mount by hand until the gasket contacts the base, then tighten exactly three-quarters of a turn further; skipping that final rotation leaves the seal loose and causes leaks.

What maintenance or replacement will the 57712XP filter need later?

Replace the filter at every engine oil change interval recommended by the vehicle manufacturer; the transparent housing lets you inspect the media for excessive debris before the next service.

What limit appears first on the 57712XP during sustained high-temperature operation?

The filter media reaches its dirt-holding capacity before the bypass valve opens, so flow restriction becomes the limiting factor under extended severe-duty cycles.
