Questions about this item
How is the 2 ft × 2 ft lay-in speaker installed in a ceiling grid and what step is often missed?
The unit fits a standard 2 ft × 2 ft grid opening; the backbox must be secured to the building structure with hanger wires before the tile is dropped in, otherwise the assembly relies only on the grid and can sag.
What maintenance or replacement will the Talkback InformaCast ceiling speaker need over time?
The speaker driver and network module are rated for continuous paging; expect to replace the driver if distortion appears after years of high-volume use and check the PoE injector or switch port if the unit loses InformaCast registration.
