The Woodward Fab WFSS10 is a hand-lever operated tool designed to shrink or stretch mild steel up to 18 gauge, stainless steel up to 22 gauge and aluminium up to 16 gauge. It suits panel-beating, restoration and fabrication shops that need to form curves or flanges without a large power machine.

Capacity limits set by throat depth and jaw width

A 1 inch throat depth restricts how far the jaws can reach into a workpiece, while the 1 3/4 inch jaw width limits the length of each bite. Material thicker than the stated gauge ratings will not form cleanly and can damage the tooling.

Bench mounting and common setup issues

The unit bolts to a workbench through its base flange; ensure the surface is flat and the bolts are tight so the lever action does not shift the frame. Misaligned jaws or debris between the dies are the usual causes of uneven shrink or stretch results.
