Fast-paced family card game
5 Alive is a fast-paced card game for two to six players aged eight and up. The goal is to keep the running total under 21 while discarding cards quickly. Wild cards let you save your own life or zap an opponent. It suits families, parties and travel.
Score limit and player count
The core rule fixes the bust threshold at 21, so every turn revolves around that hard ceiling. With two to six players the round length scales naturally, but the game does not support solo play or larger groups. No timer or electronic component is involved.
Compact deck for travel
The cards come in a small box that fits in a bag or glove compartment. Standard playing-card stock withstands repeated shuffling and handling by children. No board, tokens or batteries are required, so setup and pack-away take seconds.
