It is designed for users who share a keyboard, mouse, printer or scanner between a work and a personal machine.

Four Ports at 5 Gbps with Backward Compatibility

Each port supports USB 3.0 data rates up to 5 Gbps for fast file transfers from flash drives or external storage. The switch is backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 devices so older keyboards, mice or printers remain usable. The included USB-C power cable supplies extra current when multiple high-draw devices such as hard drives or audio interfaces are connected simultaneously. Without the power cable the total bus power may limit the number of active peripherals.

Aluminium Enclosure and Desktop Footprint

A rugged aluminium shell dissipates heat during sustained transfers and keeps the unit cool to the touch. The compact housing measures 2.56 by 2.56 by .76 inches and weighs 9.14 ounces, so it occupies minimal desk space.
