HDMI to Dual SDI Converter

The WRIARICH HDMI2SDI accepts one HDMI Type A input and produces two simultaneous SDI outputs. It handles 480I, 480P, 576I, 576P, 720P at 50 or 60 Hz, 1080I at 50 or 60 Hz, and 1080P at 24, 25, 30, 50 or 60 Hz. The unit is designed for camera operators and broadcast technicians who need to feed SDI monitors or recorders from an HDMI source.

Automatic HD-SDI and 3G-SDI detection

The converter detects whether the incoming signal is 720P or 1080P and selects the matching SDI standard without manual switching. It outputs 720P at 50 or 60 Hz as HD-SDI and 1080P at 50 or 60 Hz as 3G-SDI. Embedded audio stays synchronised with the video throughout the conversion.

No external power supply required

The device draws the power it needs directly from the HDMI source, so no separate adapter is necessary in typical use. Built-in ESD protection guards the circuitry during handling. SDI cable runs up to 100 metres for 3G-SDI and 200 metres for HD-SDI are supported. Buyers who need SDI-to-HDMI conversion or resolutions beyond 1080P cannot use this unit.

Questions about this item

How does the 2.97 Gbit/s bit rate translate when the converter is connected to a camera and two SDI monitors?

The 2.97 Gbit/s rate carries a 1080P 3G-SDI signal to both outputs simultaneously, so each monitor receives the same full-resolution feed without compression.

What SDI standards do the dual outputs actually lock to when the HDMI input is 1080P at 50 or 60 Hz?

The converter auto-detects the incoming 1080P 50/60 Hz signal and drives both BNC ports as 3G-SDI, each capable of 100 metres on standard coax.

What physical space and mounting points does the 5.83 x 4.49 x 2.44 inch metal box need on a rig or cart?

The unit measures 5.83 by 4.49 by 2.44 inches and weighs 7.8 ounces; it has no built-in brackets, so it sits on a shelf or is secured with Velcro or a cage clamp.
