USB 2.0 Bandwidth Limit

Because the device uses a USB 2.0 interface, the output is capped at 1080P resolution and 60 frames per second. The hardware can accept a 4K 60Hz signal at its HDMI input, but the connection to the host computer cannot transport that resolution, so the captured video is always downscaled.

Resolution Headroom

The card comfortably handles 1080P 60fps recording and streaming with support for 8, 10 or 12-bit deep colour. It runs out of headroom at the output stage: any source above 1920×1080 is compressed to that ceiling, so users needing 4K capture must choose a different interface.
