What the OZC2 capture card does

The WRIARICH OZC2 converts an HDMI signal into USB 3.0 or Type-C output for a computer or smartphone. It accepts up to 4K input at 30 fps and delivers a maximum of 1080P at 60 fps in YUV or JPEG format with 8, 10 or 12-bit colour depth. Streamers, educators and remote workers can connect a DSLR, camcorder or action camera and capture directly into OBS, VLC, Potplayer or similar software on Windows, macOS or Linux.

Installation experience

The device draws power from the USB connection so no external supply is needed, and it works without driver installation on the supported operating systems. A 15-metre AWG26 HDMI cable is supported for 1080P and lower resolutions, giving flexibility in camera placement. The aluminium shell aids heat dissipation during long sessions. The only common friction point is the fixed 1080P output ceiling; users expecting 4K capture will hit that limit immediately.

Capacity and headroom

The card comfortably handles full HD recording and streaming at 60 fps with deep-colour passthrough and L-PCM audio. It runs out of headroom when the source demands capture beyond 1080P, such as 4K60 recording or high-refresh-rate gaming above 60 fps. For those scenarios a different capture device with higher output bandwidth would be required.
