This WRIARICH SDI2HDMI unit converts 3G-SDI, HD-SDI and SD-SDI signals to HDMI with automatic format detection. It accepts SDI input resolutions from 480i up to 1080p at 24, 25, 30, 50 and 60 Hz. The converter is intended for video professionals who need to monitor or record SDI sources on HDMI displays. It is not a bi-directional device and cannot convert HDMI back to SDI.

Practical Limits of the 3G-SDI Interface

The converter supports SDI data rates of 270 Mb/s, 1.485 Gbps and 2.97 Gbps. Maximum input cable lengths are 300 ft for 3G-SDI, 500 ft for HD-SDI and 1000 ft for SD-SDI. The SDI loop output can drive up to 300 ft. HDMI output resolutions include 720P at 50 and 60 Hz and 1080P at multiple frame rates. Eight channels of 48 kHz digital audio are de-embedded.
