What this cable does and who needs it

This USB4 Gen 3x2 cable connects two USB-C devices for data, video and power. It serves laptop owners, tablet users and anyone linking an eGPU or external display who needs a single 6.6 ft lead that handles every task.

Practical limits of the USB4 Gen 3x2 interface

The link tops out at 40 Gbps when both ends support USB4 Gen 3x2, and carries a single 8K signal at 60 Hz or 4K at 120 Hz. Dual 4K at 60 Hz requires two separate cables. Thunderbolt 3 devices work, but speeds fall to their own ceiling.

The specification that decides fit

Maximum power delivery is 100 W at 20 V under PD 3.1 Extended Power Range, with backward compatibility down to 40 W. If your charger and device both support 100 W EPR, this cable delivers the full load; otherwise it negotiates the highest mutual level.
