Smart Hardcase LiPo Battery

This Spektrum smart hardcase LiPo battery delivers 11.1 volts and 5000 milliampere-hours in a three-cell configuration. It targets RC enthusiasts who need telemetry feedback through a compatible charger or ESC. The 30C discharge rating supports high-current draws for demanding brushless setups.

Hardcase Protection and IC5 Connector

The rigid hardcase shell shields the cells from impact during rough landings or chassis flex. An IC5 connector provides a secure, high-current link that resists vibration better than bullet plugs. At six point three five inches tall the pack fits standard battery trays without modification.

30C Discharge Rating

The thirty C rating means the pack can sustain one hundred fifty amps continuous output for high-power systems. Builders who need more capacity or a higher discharge rate for larger scale models should look elsewhere. This specification decides whether the battery matches the motor and ESC current demands.

Questions about this item

What does the IC5 connector on this battery cap in practice?

The IC5 connector is a keyed, high-current EC5-compatible plug that prevents reverse polarity and handles the full 30C discharge rating of the pack.

What physical clearance does the 6.35-inch package height require for mounting?

The hardcase measures 6.35 inches tall, so the battery tray or compartment must provide at least that much vertical space plus room for the IC5 lead.

How is this Smart battery installed, and what step is often missed?

Plug the IC5 connector into the ESC, then bind the pack to a Spektrum Smart charger or telemetry device so the battery ID, cell count and charge history are registered.
