Fox & Hound 3399 Tone Probe Kit

The WUQ 3399 Fox & Hound Premium Tone Probe Wire Tracing Kit traces electrical wire, LAN cable, telephone cable, alarm cable and multi-conductor cable. Fox 2 generates multiple tones and performs basic telephone line tests including loop current and polarity checks. Hound 3 detects trace tones up to 12 inches away with adjustable thumbwheel sensitivity and a signal strength LED.

Upgrading From Basic Continuity Testers

This kit replaces simple continuity checkers that only beep on a closed circuit and cannot identify a specific cable within a bundle. The TrueTrace cadence shift provides definite identification of a single pair inside a multi-conductor cable. It is not for installers who need active network bandwidth testing or certification-level wire mapping reports.
