Questions about this item

How many ports can the TP316 protect before the 5 kA 8/20 µs gas discharge tubes reach their surge-life limit?

The unit holds 16 replaceable surge protectors, each rated for 5 kA 8/20 µs, so the first limit under sustained use is the cumulative energy those 16 GDT modules can absorb before replacement.

What heat or noise does the 1U rack-mount TP316 produce when protecting 16 PoE+ links continuously?

The TP316 is a passive gas-discharge-tube array with no fans or active electronics, so it generates no audible noise and negligible heat during all-day operation.
