Dual-interface dynamic microphone
The WUQ K688 is a dynamic microphone built for studio recording, gaming, streaming, video creation and podcasting. It connects via USB-C or XLR so it works with laptops, desktops, mixers, audio interfaces and PS4 or PS5 consoles. A built-in headphone jack and monitoring volume knob let you hear yourself without extra gear. The all-metal body and included shock mount keep handling noise low during long sessions.
USB bus power limits cable reach
The USB connection draws power from the host, so the supplied 2.5 m cable sets the practical working distance when used digitally. Switching to XLR removes that limit but requires an external interface or mixer with phantom power disabled for this dynamic capsule. The detachable USB-C cable can be replaced if damaged, yet the fixed length still defines the maximum range in USB mode. No wireless or network option exists on this model.
Metal chassis and threaded adapter for stands
The microphone body is made of metal and ships with a shock mount that threads onto standard boom arms or desk stands. A 5/8 to 3/8 inch adapter is included so it fits both common thread sizes without extra purchases. The integrated mute button and headphone volume knob sit on the chassis for quick access while recording. The fixed grille and capsule orientation mean you address the mic from the front only.

Questions about this item
Should I choose the USB or XLR connection for the K688 microphone?
USB connects directly to a computer or PS4/PS5 for plug-and-play use, while XLR feeds a mixer, audio interface or sound card for studio-style routing. Both cables are included.
How does the dynamic capsule perform when I am speaking close to the K688?
The cardioid dynamic element rejects off-axis room sound, so close vocal work stays clear without picking up keyboard clicks or background noise.
What does the USB-C interface actually limit on the K688?
The USB-C port carries digital audio and power from a PC or console; it does not pass phantom power, so the mic runs on bus power alone.
