A forged high-carbon stainless steel santoku with a hollow edge that reduces sticking for thin, precise slices
The Wusthof Classic White Santoku is a 7 inch knife forged from a single piece of high-carbon stainless steel. Its hollow edge creates air pockets that reduce food adhesion during slicing. The blade suits home cooks and professionals who want a versatile tool for chopping, dicing and mincing everyday ingredients.
The high-carbon steel blade requires a wood, plastic or composite board to preserve the edge; glass, stone or metal surfaces will dull it quickly. Ensure you have a knife block, magnetic strip or blade guard that accommodates a 7 inch blade so the edge never contacts other utensils when stored.
Each knife is forged in Solingen, Germany from one piece of specially tempered steel, giving the blade strength and balance without a welded bolster joint. The stainless material resists staining and corrosion, while the hollow-edge grind makes thin slices release cleanly during repetitive prep work.

The knife is sold as a single forged high-carbon stainless steel blade with a white synthetic handle; no sheath, block or honing steel is included, so you will need to buy storage or protection separately.
Choose the 7-inch Santoku if you want a versatile, medium-length blade for slicing, dicing and mincing; shorter blades give more control for detail work, while longer chef's knives handle larger produce.
The hollow indentations create small air pockets that reduce suction, letting thin slices release cleanly from the blade instead of sticking, which speeds up repetitive prep tasks.
