7-Inch Hollow-Edge Chef's Knife

The Wusthof Classic Craftsman knife is a 7-inch chef's knife built for home cooks who want professional slicing performance. Its hollow-edge blade reduces friction so food releases cleanly during prep.

Sustained Cutting Performance

High-carbon stainless steel holds a sharp edge through extended chopping sessions without frequent re-sharpening. The polyoxymethylene handle resists moisture and heat, keeping its grip secure during long periods of use.

Single-Piece Forged Construction

The blade is precision-forged from one piece of steel, eliminating joint weakness between blade and handle. Buyers who need a flexible boning knife or a heavier cleaver should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the 0.70 kg weight make the knife tiring during long prep sessions?

At 0.70 kg the Wusthof Classic 7" Craftsman Knife feels substantial but balanced, so extended chopping stays comfortable.

What cutting surface should I already own to protect the high-carbon stainless blade?

Use a wood or plastic board; glass, stone or ceramic will dull the precision edge quickly.

Will the 4.20 cm blade height clear ingredients when I use it beside my older 6-inch chef's knife?

The 4.20 cm height gives extra knuckle room, so it works well alongside shorter blades without crowding the board.
