Game Overview

Journey of Greed is a downloadable PC strategy title published by XD and developed by Dird Games. It blends social board game mechanics with card-based tactics for up to four online players. The game carries an ESRB E rating and requires a Steam account for activation. It suits players who enjoy competitive multiplayer sessions driven by negotiation and betrayal.

Sustained Play Experience

Matches unfold over repeated voyages where risk escalates as adventurers push deeper into lost islands. Long-term engagement comes from reading opponents and adapting tactics across multiple rounds rather than from reflex execution. The design rewards consistent psychological play and strategic planning over short bursts. Players seeking purely cooperative or solo progression will not find that structure here.

Upgrade Context

The Steam code replaces physical media and legacy DRM schemes for this 2019 release. It upgrades the acquisition method to instant digital delivery tied to a permanent library licence. The jump is worth it for buyers who want immediate access without disc handling or key redemption on secondary platforms. Collectors who require boxed artwork or offline installers should look elsewhere.
