100-Pack 1/2 AA Lithium Cells for Long-Term Devices

This pack supplies one hundred Xeno Energy XL-050FAX batteries, each a 3.6V 1.2Ah lithium thionyl chloride cell with axial leads. They suit equipment that needs a very low self-discharge rate and a shelf life beyond ten years. Typical uses include utility meters, alarm panels, tracking beacons and industrial data loggers where replacement access is difficult or costly. The cells are not rechargeable and must not be placed in a charger.

Thermal Behaviour and Power Profile

The chemistry operates from -55°C to +85°C with a stable voltage through most of the discharge curve. Maximum recommended continuous current is 30 mA and pulse capability reaches 60 mA, so the cell runs cool in normal metering loads. Self-discharge stays below one percent per year at 20°C, preserving capacity during storage. The inorganic electrolyte is non-flammable and non-pressurised at ambient temperature, though it is corrosive if the case is breached.

Axial Leads and Cross-Reference Compatibility

Axial leads allow direct soldering to a PCB without a separate holder, reducing assembly height and part count. The 14.5 mm diameter and 25.2 mm height match the 14250 form factor. The pack covers replacements for Tadiran TL-4902, TL-2150, TL-5101, TL-5902, TL-5111, TL-5151, Saft LS-14250 and LS-14250c, Toshiba ER3V, and Sonnenschein SL-350/S, SL-750/S and SL-150/S. Devices needing higher continuous current or a rechargeable cell cannot use this battery.
