High-capacity feeder for 3000 sheets

The Xerox 097S05020 feeder holds 3000 sheets of plain paper to extend the input capacity of the AltaLink B8100 series printer. It is designed for offices that need long, uninterrupted print runs. The unit attaches directly to the compatible device to supply media without frequent reloading. This accessory suits high-volume environments where continuous feeding is required.

Plain paper handling and power draw

The feeder accommodates plain paper media only and draws operating power from the attached AltaLink B8100 printer. It adds no separate fan or power supply, so system noise and thermal output remain unchanged from the host device. Normal use does not increase the printer's power consumption beyond its rated specification. Installation requires no additional electrical circuit.

Questions about this item

How is the high capacity feeder installed on the Xerox AltaLink B8100 series printer and which step is most often missed?

The feeder attaches to the right side of the printer using the alignment pins and locking lever; the step most often missed is fully engaging the lever until it clicks, otherwise the printer will not recognise the 3000 sheet capacity.

What maintenance will the 097S05020 feeder need after extended use?

The feed rollers and separation pad should be cleaned or replaced when multi-feed errors appear; Xerox rates these parts for the life of the 3000 sheet capacity cycles under normal plain paper use.
