Genuine Yellow Drum Cartridge 40000 Pages

The Xerox 108R01487 is a genuine yellow drum cartridge built for the VersaLink C600 and VersaLink C605 colour printers. It supports an approximate yield of 40000 pages, making it suitable for offices with consistent high-volume output. Buyers needing a drum unit for other printer models cannot use this cartridge.

Passive Operation With No Power Draw

This drum cartridge contains no moving parts, fans or electronics, so it adds zero noise and draws no power during printing. Thermal output is negligible and does not affect the printer’s internal temperature. Installations requiring active cooling components or external power connections are not supported by this unit.

Precision-Moulded Housing For Direct Installation

The cartridge body is moulded to fit the VersaLink C600 and C605 drum slots exactly, aligning with the printer’s internal guides without tools. Colour-coded yellow labelling prevents accidental insertion into the wrong channel. Environments that require user-replaceable waste-toner containers or modular drum-and-toner assemblies are not addressed by this single-unit design.

Questions about this item

How is the 108R01487 yellow drum cartridge installed in the VersaLink C600 or C605, and what step is often missed?

Open the front cover, pull out the old drum unit by its handle, unpack the new cartridge, remove the orange protective cover, and slide it firmly into the yellow slot until it clicks; the step people miss is forgetting to peel off the orange cover, which blocks the imaging surface and causes blank pages.

What maintenance or replacement will the 108R01487 drum cartridge need after extended use?

The drum is rated for approximately 40000 pages; once print quality fades or the printer signals a drum end-of-life warning, replace the entire 108R01487 unit — no separate cleaning kits or developer refills are required for this cartridge.

What limit appears first on the 108R01487 yellow drum during sustained high-volume printing on a VersaLink C600 or C605?

The rated life of 40000 pages is the first hard limit; after that threshold the printer will stop and require a new 108R01487 drum cartridge before printing can continue.
