Yellow developer for DocuColor 5000 presses

The Xerox 5R714 is a genuine yellow developer unit designed for the DocuColor 5000 and 5000AP digital presses. It supplies the toner carrier required for laser printing in high-volume production environments. Each carton contains one unit. Print shops and in-house reprographics departments handling large colour workloads are the intended users.

Consistent output over 300000 pages

The developer is rated for an approximate yield of 300000 prints under standard operating conditions. Because it is a consumable that depletes gradually, colour density and background uniformity remain stable throughout the rated life rather than dropping off after a short burst. Replacement intervals align with scheduled press maintenance to minimise unplanned downtime.

Limited to compatible DocuColor models

The unit fits only the DocuColor 5000 and 5000AP series; it cannot be used in other Xerox presses or third-party devices. Buyers who need a different colour developer or a unit for another press model must source the correct part number separately. No cross-compatibility with other series is supported.

Questions about this item

Does the 5R714 developer unit add noticeable noise or heat to a DocuColor 5000 running all day?

The 5R714 is a passive yellow developer unit with no moving parts of its own, so it does not increase noise or heat output beyond the press's normal operation.

What printer must I already own for the 5R714 to work?

The 5R714 is compatible only with Xerox DocuColor 5000 and DocuColor 5000AP digital presses.

Will the 5R714 developer unit work alongside the original black, cyan and magenta developers in my DocuColor 5000?

Yes, the 5R714 yellow developer is designed to operate with the existing black, cyan and magenta developer units in the DocuColor 5000 or 5000AP.
