Xidehuy MP-BLUE*13 16 GB MP3 Player

The Xidehuy MP-BLUE*13 is a portable digital music player with 16 GB of internal storage and a 1.8 inch LCD screen. It supports MP3, FLAC, AMV video, JPEG photos, TXT e-books, FM radio and voice recording. The device includes a 3.5 mm audio jack and Mini USB 2.0 connectivity for file transfer and charging. It is aimed at listeners who want a dedicated, lightweight device for music and basic media playback.

Upgrade from phone or basic player

This player replaces reliance on a smartphone for music during workouts or study, freeing phone battery and storage. The jump is worth it when you want physical buttons, a screen that stays on your playlist, and up to 5000 songs stored locally without a data connection. Drag-and-drop file management via Mini USB 2.0 makes loading content straightforward on any computer without specialist software.

Suits offline listeners, not app users

It suits commuters, gym-goers and students who prefer tactile controls, long play sessions of about 5-7 hours, and a compact 0.035 kg form factor. Buyers who need streaming apps, Bluetooth, a larger touchscreen, or iTunes sync should look elsewhere, as this device focuses on local file playback and radio only.

Questions about this item

Does the 1.8 inch LCD and 3.5 mm jack need any special mounting hardware?

No special hardware is required; the player is a slim, lightweight handheld unit that fits in a pocket or clips to clothing, and the 3.5 mm jack accepts standard earphone plugs.

What is the correct order for the first USB charge so the device is recognised by the computer?

Turn the player on first, then connect the supplied Mini USB 2.0 cable to the PC; it will appear as an external drive for drag-and-drop file transfer.

When will the built-in lithium-ion battery need replacement and how is it accessed?

The sealed battery is not user-replaceable; after several hundred charge cycles runtime will drop below the quoted 5-7 hours, at which point the unit must be replaced.
