D-Shape Earpiece for Two-Way Radio

The XQF D-shape earpiece headset connects to Kenwood-style two-pin radios and adds a push-to-talk button with an in-line microphone for hands-free voice transmission. The soft earhook design keeps the earpiece secure during extended shifts in security, hospitality, event and industrial settings.

Check your radio uses a Kenwood two-pin plug

Verify that your handset accepts the Kenwood 2-pin connector used on models such as the TK-2100, TK-3107, UV-5R, BF-888S and the other listed Kenwood, Baofeng, Puxing, Wouxun, Quansheng, Relm, Weierwei, HYT and Linton units. The cable terminates in that specific two-pin layout and will not fit single-pin, multi-pin or proprietary sockets.

Low power draw from the radio battery

The passive earpiece and electret microphone draw minimal current from the host radio, so normal talk cycles do not noticeably shorten battery run-time. No external power source or charging is required, and the lightweight cable adds no audible handling noise during typical indoor or outdoor use.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and do I need any extra cables or adapters?

The package contains the D-shape earpiece with inline microphone and push-to-talk button on a 2-pin Kenwood-style connector; no additional cables or adapters are required for the listed radios.

Which connector version should I pick for my Baofeng UV-5R or Kenwood TK-2107?

Both models use the same 2-pin Kenwood-type plug, so this single headset fits the UV-5R, UV-82, BF-888S, TK-2107, TK-3107 and every other radio listed in the compatibility tables.

How does the push-to-talk button work when the headset is plugged into a Kenwood TK-3160?

Press the inline PTT button to transmit and release to receive; the built-in line microphone picks up your voice for hands-free operation on the TK-3160 and all other supported Kenwood models.
