Slide-Bar Expanding File Jacket with CD Holder

This Wilson Jones expanding file jacket is designed for professionals who need secure, portable document storage with integrated media organisation. The slide-bar mechanism allows the folder to convert quickly from a hanging file to a carry folder by retracting the hooks and inverting the tab. A built-in CD pocket keeps electronic files together with paper records. Durable polypropylene construction provides water resistance for important contents.

Installation and common issues

Converting the folder is simple: retract the metal hooks and flip the tab to switch between hanging and portable modes. The slide-bar expansion operates smoothly to accommodate growing file volumes up to the stated capacity. Users should avoid forcing the bar beyond its natural stop, as overextension can weaken the polypropylene ribs. Ensure the CD pocket flap is fully closed before transport to prevent discs from sliding out during movement.

Capacity and interface limits

The jacket expands up to 5.25 inches, defining the maximum thickness of documents and media it can hold. The integrated CD pocket accepts standard optical discs but offers no accommodation for larger media formats or drives. Polypropylene material resists water splashes yet is not rated for full immersion or extreme temperatures. The slide-bar and hook system is designed for standard rail spacing; non-standard rails may prevent secure hanging.
