Yale 5405LN Storeroom Lever Lockset

The Yale 5405LN is a Grade 1 commercial lever lockset built for storeroom doors that must stay locked from the outside at all times. Its satin chrome 626 finish and heavy-gauge steel construction suit high-traffic interior or exterior openings. The lock meets ANSI 117.1 accessibility requirements and carries a three-hour fire rating. It is not for residential passage sets or privacy functions that need interior unlocking.

Fits 1 3/4 to 2-1/4 In door thickness

The lockset installs on doors between 1 3/4 and 2-1/4 inches thick using a standard 2 3/4 inch backset and a 2 1/8 inch crossbore. The included 1 1/4 by 4 7/8 inch ANSI strike aligns with common metal frame prep. Doors outside this thickness range or with non-standard backsets will require a different lock body or extended components.

UL listed three-hour fire rating

The assembly is UL listed for three-hour fire doors, making it the deciding specification for code-compliant stairwell, corridor and tenant-separation openings. Without this rating the lockset cannot be used on labelled fire-door assemblies. Buyers whose project does not demand a fire-rated storeroom function should verify local requirements before selecting this hardware.
