8800FL Pacific Beach Lever Lock

The Yale 8800FL Pacific Beach lever lock is a Grade 1 mortise lockset designed for commercial entrance and office doors. Its heavy-duty construction uses brass, stainless steel and zinc components with a satin chrome 626 finish. The lock includes a six-pin cylinder and two keys keyed differently.

Grade 1 strength and fire rating

This mortise lockset meets Grade 1 standards for high-traffic commercial use and carries a three-hour fire rating. The wrought steel case with zinc dichromate coating resists forced entry and withstands prolonged fire exposure. It operates on doors from 1 3/4 to 3 3/4 inches thick with a 2 3/4 inch backset.

Mortise installation requirements

The lock fits a standard mortise pocket and uses an 8 by 1 1/4 inch front plate with an ANSI strike measuring 1 1/4 by 4 7/8 inches. Builders must prepare the door edge for the mortise case and the frame for the strike. It does not suit cylindrical-prepped doors or thin residential doors.
