Questions about this item

Does the blue enclosure come with a 2.5-inch SATA drive inside or do I supply my own?

The enclosure is sold empty; you install your own 2.5-inch SATA HDD or SSD.

Should I choose a 2.5-inch SATA HDD or a 2.5-inch SATA SSD for this enclosure?

Both fit the 120*76*17 mm ABS shell; an SSD runs silently while a mechanical drive may need the case's heat dissipation during long sessions.

What does the 5 Gbps USB 3.0 rating mean for real file transfers?

It sets a 5 Gbps ceiling; actual throughput depends on the installed drive and the host port, so a SATA SSD will hit higher sustained speeds than a mechanical disk.
