2.5in SATA USB 2.0 Enclosure

This pink enclosure turns a 2.5in SATA hard drive into a portable USB 2.0 storage device. It is suited for users who need simple external storage for backups or file transfers on Windows XP through 10 and Mac OS 8.6 or later. The tool-free design and included carrying bag make it convenient for occasional use.

Tool-free install with Y-cable power

Installation requires no screws; the drive slides into the slim housing and connects directly to the internal SATA interface. A USB Y-cable is supplied to draw power from two USB 2.0 or 1.1 ports when a single port cannot supply enough current. The enclosure is plug-and-play, hot-pluggable and hot-swappable, so no driver installation is needed on supported systems.

Check drive height and host USB ports

Verify that your 2.5in SATA drive is no thicker than the enclosure’s 1.2 cm internal height before ordering. Ensure the host computer has at least one USB 2.0 or 1.1 port, and a second free port if the Y-cable’s auxiliary connector is required for stable operation. The package includes the enclosure, Y-cable and carrying bag.
