2.5-inch USB 2.0 Aluminium Enclosure

This aluminium enclosure converts a 2.5-inch hard drive into a portable USB 2.0 storage device. It supports Windows XP, 7, 8 and 10 with plug-and-play operation. The metal construction adds durability while keeping the unit light for transport. No drivers or extra software are required to start using it.

For basic backup and occasional file transfer

It suits users who need a simple way to access a spare drive on a PC, laptop or TV. The USB 2.0 interface limits throughput, so it is not ideal for large media libraries or frequent heavy transfers. Buyers who want faster speeds should consider a different enclosure. The tool-free design makes drive swaps straightforward.

USB 2.0 interface

The enclosure uses a USB 2.0 connection for both data and power. Maximum transfer rates are restricted to the USB 2.0 specification. This single specification determines whether the performance meets your workload.
